Your base camp in Denver

The Yellow Door is a five-bedroom corner-lot home in north Denver with a handmade cedarwood hot tub, a game room with a full pool table, Pop-A-Shot, and darts, a large fenced front yard, and a big back patio. Centrally located: a short drive from the restaurants and bars of the Highlands, Berkeley on Tennyson Street, and RiNo. Red Rocks is about 20 to 25 minutes out, Boulder is 30, and I-70 access is a couple miles away for mountain day trips.

The house

Five queen bedrooms across two floors, three full bathrooms including one ensuite, sleeps up to 14. Mid-century interior design throughout by production designer Tyler Evans, with curated art and vintage travel posters. Main floor has the kitchen, living area, dining for 8 to 10, three bedrooms, and two bathrooms. Downstairs holds two more bedrooms, a full bath, and a second living area that doubles as a movie room. The back patio has a handmade cedarwood soaking hot tub (seats eight), lounge furniture, a propane grill under the carport, and cornhole. Fenced front yard, two-car driveway, carport space, and free street parking around the house.

The game room

A converted garage with its own heating and cooling for year-round use. Pool table, Pop-A-Shot, darts, a vintage Pepsi vending machine, and a retro diner booth. String lights overhead. Nintendo Switch and Wii loaded with games.

Getting around

Drive times approximate. I-70 and I-76 are a couple miles from the house; expect extra time on weekend evenings in the Highlands and RiNo.
